“Hope is not a strategy” - John C. Maxwell
author of Talent is Never Enough
Have you ever put together one of those pieces of furniture that come in a box? You know the type...500 pieces, a bottle of glue, some nails and a rough sketch of the finished product... I believe there are two types of people who assemble these... those that follow the detailed instructions and those that just blindly start putting wood together into the shape on the box cover.
Some things you can just start building haphazardly. Your marriage is not one of them.
“Where there is no vision, the people perish...” - Proverbs 29:18 (KJV)
Where there is no plan...things don't work. Where there is no strategy...relationships fall apart. Where there is no direction....things feel scattered and disconnected. Today as you spend time praying, think about your marriage...is there a plan? In any form? Where do you want to be in five years financially? Spiritually, how much effort is put into growing together in Christ? Emotionally...are you two connecting or are you roommates with a common last name?
What's the plan? The Vision? Have you ever sat and talked about it?
The greatest thing about today is that it is a perfect time to start. Take some time this morning and write out a couple of things to start on. Then, ask God to bless you with the vision required to be where He wants you to be. Your marriage is worth it.
Blessings,
Pastor Brian
