Thursday - "God is God"

8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.” Rev. 1:8

The past few days we've talked about fear, sharing your store, and prayer... all 3 key behaviors to have in place as we prepare for the return of Christ. Today's verse, Revelation 1:8, helps us to remember that God has been here since the very beginning. He watched Adam and Eve in the garden and saw you wash the dishes last night...

He is everywhere. He has always been.

He forever shall be.

As we spend some time looking at the book of Revelation, it is important to reflect on the permanence of God. Nobody created Him...He has always existed. He is older than the Earth and will never die... He owns every animal on every hill and will never need anything. He possesses what we claim to own and knows more than we could learn in a thousand lifetimes.

God is God.

That same God who created something from nothing is going to be with you until the end... today's verse says the time that is "still to come." The future. Jesus will stand beside you through the events described in Revelation...no need to fear, or worry, or doubt.

Simply trust.

God is God.

JOURNAL IT: Today in your journal, write a list of 5 things you can give over to God that you have been stressing about... 10 things you will no longer worry about because He is God and He can handle it.

See you tomorrow,
Pastor Brian
