Tuesday - "Time"

Rev 1:3 "God blesses the one who reads the words of this prophecy to the church, and he blesses all who listen to its message and obey what it says, for the time is near."

I was in the chat room last weekend when the question hit me...

How much time do I have to make sure all of those that I love know about Jesus? The answer: I have no idea.

Neither do you...

People for centuries have wanted to debate when Jesus was returning. Some say it will be in our generation...some say in generations to come...some say even longer than that... The reality is that nobody really knows when Christ will come back, not as the suffering servant, but as the King that He is! We don't know if it's going to be tomorrow...next week...next year...or before your breakfast is ready.

We DO know that He is coming...He is coming soon...and we need to be ready. How are we ready? We have a relationship with Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior. How can we get others ready? Tell them about Christ as well...ask them if they know Him personally.

I once read a quote from an atheist that said "If you believe Heaven is a real place...how much do you have to hate somebody not to tell them how to get there." Good question. Hate is a strong word...but how badly do you want to spend eternity with those that you love? Let's get past the fear of rejection and give our friends and family the ultimate opportunity...

JOURNAL IT: Today in your journal, make a list of three people who don't know Christ. Pray for the opportunity to share what you believe...and then go for it!

See you tomorrow,
Pastor Brian
