"Trusting" - A Devotional for Wednesday

Matthew 7:24-27 "Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash."

I know a man who owned nothing.

He walked everywhere He needed to go.

He gave terminally ill people...life.

He gave confused fishermen and a tax collector...a mission

He gave food to the hungry and love to the rejected.

He is bigger than your stress....more powerful than your greatest strength

He is Jesus.

This morning, carry all of your doubts, fears, worries, objections, and concerns to the foot of the cross...drop them in the big box marked "forgiven" or maybe the one labeled "grace"

Leave them in there. I know you'll want to go back for them...resist.

You serve God. God. The Creator. The Sustainer. The Redeemer. The Savior. The Friend. The Father. The Spirit. The One. The I Am.

He can do it. He will help. He loves you so very much. You can trust Him.

God never fails.

See you tomorrow,
Pastor Brian
